15+ Years of Clinical Experience

Implant Dentistry · Oral Surgery · Oral Rehabilitation · Orthognatic Dentistry

Since earning his dental degree in 2007, Dr. Erald Rusi has performed thousands of implant procedures and developed extensive expertise in complex implant-supported rehabilitation.

His postgraduate education encompasses zygomatic implant rehabilitation, implantology in severely atrophic bone, oral surgery, orthodontics and biomechanics, straight-wire techniques, orthognathic dentistry, and aesthetic treatments involving direct and indirect veneers.

At Vive Dental, Dr. Rusi adopts a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach, creating individualized treatment plans that integrate function, occlusion, aesthetics, and long-term stability—always tailored to each patient’s clinical needs and personal goals.

Clinical Philosophy

Comprehensive Care. Individual Treatment. Long-Term Thinking.

Complex dental care requires more than addressing an individual tooth or immediate concern. Dr. Rusi approaches each case by considering the broader clinical picture.

His education and advanced training across implantology, oral surgery, orthodontics, restorative dentistry, and aesthetic dentistry provide a multidisciplinary foundation for treatment planning. Each case is considered individually, with attention to function, occlusion, aesthetics, oral health, and long-term rehabilitation.

At Vive Dental, this approach translates into personalized treatment plans designed around each patient's clinical needs, expectations, and treatment goals.

Who is the All-On 4 system suitable for?

This fixed denture is suitable for patients who are partially or completely edentulous, or with advanced deterioration of many teeth, and whose bone mass is not sufficient to consider conventional vertically oriented implants. At the same time, it can correct the alignment of teeth (occlusal defects), restoring more harmonious proportions to the lower face.

Who is the All-On 6 system suitable for?
All-on-6 is a full-arch implant rehabilitation concept designed for selected patients who need to replace most or all teeth in one dental arch with a fixed, implant-supported restoration. Six strategically distributed implants can provide support for a complete fixed dental prosthesis. Current consensus guidance notes that, when anatomy permits, six implants may be preferred in some maxillary full-arch cases to increase support and reduce the potential impact of individual implant complications.

A titanium membrane is used in dentistry—specifically in implantology and oral surgery—during Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR) procedures. It acts as a rigid physical barrier to protect bone graft material and hold the required shape while new bone forms.

It is primarily used in the following cases:

Severe bone defects: When there is significant vertical or horizontal bone loss that flexible or resorbable membranes (like collagen) cannot support.

Ridge augmentation: Rebuilding the jawbone contour before or during dental implant placement.

3D space maintenance: Titanium can be custom-shaped to fit the patient’s anatomy without collapsing under the pressure of the surrounding soft tissue (gums).

Because titanium is non-resorbable and highly biocompatible, the membrane stays securely in place for 6 to 9 months to allow full bone maturation before being removed in a minor follow-up procedure.

When Conventional Implants Are No Longer Enough

Zygomatic implants can provide an alternative treatment pathway for selected patients with severe maxillary bone loss. By anchoring implants in the zygomatic bone—the cheekbone—they can support full-arch rehabilitation when conventional implant placement would require extensive bone reconstruction.

Every case requires individual assessment with 3D imaging and comprehensive treatment planning.

Who Are Pterygoid Implants Suitable For?

Advanced posterior support for the atrophic upper jaw

Pterygoid implants may be considered for patients with significant bone loss in the posterior upper jaw, where conventional implant placement may be limited by reduced bone volume or the anatomy of the maxillary sinus.

By engaging the dense bone of the pterygomaxillary region, pterygoid implants can provide posterior support for implant-supported restorations and, in selected cases, help reduce the need for extensive bone grafting or sinus augmentation.

Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) is used in many dental surgical procedures such as dental implants. PRF accelerates the healing process and decreases surgical pain and swelling for dental implants. PRF also improves the strength of bone’s direct structural and functional connection to implants.

The PRF process is straightforward. One vial of blood is drawn per surgical site immediately before your dental procedure. The blood is then put into a centrifuge and separated into various layers; one being the PRF. The PRF layer is rich in fibrin, platelets, and growth factors.

Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) protects the bony surgical site from infection, accelerates the healing process, and decreases pain after a procedure. Platelet Rich Fibrin treatment is 100% natural without the use of any additives or preservatives.

PRF is placed directly into the tooth and implant site. In sites where implants are placed, the PRF occupies the space between the extraction site and the dental implant. Placement of PRF in dental implant sites decreases the implant healing time and the chance of a dental implant failure. PRF is a better alternative to sending a tooth removal patient home with an unfilled bony implant site.
